Build a Solid Foundation

We believe it is important for guitar students to build a solid foundation of music reading skills while learning how to play the guitar. Knowing how to read standard music notation will allow your child to communicate with other musicians across all styles and genres. We have found that students who learn to read music develop better rhythm than those that only know how to read tablature.

Expand Your Child's Horizons

As your child progresses through their studies, we'll teach them how to play chords and read tab. Once they have mastered the basics they will be able to move on to more specific musical styles and interests. Our guitar teachers are well versed in a wide variety of musical styles and are able to introduce your child to classical, electric, acoustic, folk, rock, blues, jazz and more. In addition, students are often asked to compose songs so that they become fully fluent in the language of music.
